- Islands created by an earthquake. They separated from the mainland.

- Fire Nation village - Once a thriving little village, the town was almost completely wiped out by volcanic activity. Now the people struggle to rebuild.

- Ember Peninsula - Former island, connected to the mainland by lava flow. The vacation homes were abandoned when the eruptions started, and remain vacant.

- Jang Hui
- Fire Nation bazaar

- Northernmost Earth Kingdom Village- This village is very small, with only fifty or so enhabitants. It's the farthest town north in all of the Earth Kingdom, and the connecting port between the Northern Water Tribe and the Earth Kingdom.
- Mining village
- Serpent's Peaks - Formerlly Serpent's Pass, the only direct path to Ba Sing Se. During the war, the river changed course, and the lakes dried up. Serpent's pass became a long row of narrow, thin, small mountains.
- Wan Shi Tong's Library, now buried.
- Kolau Mountains
- Cave of Two Lovers
- Omashu - The current capitol of the Earth Kingdom, because Ba Sing Se is presumed uninhabitable.
- Foggy Swamp
- Plains village
- Tu Zin

- Whaletail Island
- Flooded outer area of Ba Sing Se, formerly the farming area of the city.

- Si Wong Desert, location of the Si Wong Rock.
- Crystal Catacombs of Old Ba Sing Se
- The point where Avani and Arrkun left Ba Sing Se.
- The point where Avani and Arrkun entered Ba Sing Se.
- Aang's favorite place to surf on the backs of elephant koi.
- Sun Warriors' ancient city
- Boiling Rock
- Yon Rha's village
- Fire Nation Royal Palace
